Ellen Vercalsteren

Ellen Vercalsteren is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the NeuroCardioMetabol Group at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. Her research focuses on stroke and type 2 diabetes, using experimental models to try and find out why type 2 diabetes worsens stroke outcome and to identify novel therapeutic strategies to improve stroke outcomes in type 2 diabetes.
