Louise Elkjær Fløe

Louise Elkjær Fløe, MD, PhD, is a medical doctor and researcher at the Department of Oncology, Aarhus University Hospital. Her research focuses on cancer care, treatment trajectories, and clinical outcomes among patients with cancer and severe mental disorders.

As part of the CASMED research group, she has investigated how psychiatric comorbidity may influence mortality and symptom burden in patients with cancer. She has also contributed to the development of the CASEMED model, a complex intervention designed to improve support for patients with cancer and severe mental disorders throughout their cancer treatment trajectory.

In addition to her clinical and research activities, Louise Elkjær Fløe serves as a medical consultant in the Quality Department at Aarhus University Hospital, where she works with the accreditation of Aarhus University Hospital as a Comprehensive Cancer Centre.

She is also a board member of the Danish Psycho-Oncology Cooperative Group.
