Tora Bonnevie
Tora Bonnevie, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Neuromedicine and Movement Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. She is also a researcher at the K.G. Jebsen Centre for Alzheimer’s Disease at the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience and the Norwegian Health Association Centre for Dementia Research.
Bonnevie is a translational cognitive neuroscientist whose research focuses on the cognitive and biological foundations of memory and how these processes are affected by memory decline, with particular emphasis on the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Her research spans studies in both rodents and humans, including healthy participants and patients with different neurological disorders, and incorporates a range of experimental methods.
With a background as both a medical doctor and neuroscientist, Bonnevie aims to bridge findings from animal and human research and translate advances in cognitive neuroscience into a better understanding of human brain disorders.
