ASCO 2026: Biomarkers May Improve Treatment Selection and Respons in BTC

Biliary tract cancer is a malignancy with limited treatment options and a poor prognosis. Even with chemo-immune therapy, a durable response is uncommon, and biomarkers such as PD-L1 expression have limited utility. At ASCO 2026, Martin Birkmose Rasmussen presented a Danish study showing that two biomarkers are associated with poor response and OS, and that a T-cell infiltration biomarker, when increased, is linked to improved outcomes.
