CASEMED: A Supportive Cancer Care Model for Patients with Severe Mental Disorders

Louise Elkjær Fløe, MD and PhD fellow at Aarhus University Hospital, presents CASEMED, a supportive cancer care model developed for patients with cancer and pre-existing severe mental disorders. The model addresses inequalities in cancer care through early identification of supportive needs, improved coordination between oncology and psychiatric services, and strengthened communication and continuity throughout the cancer trajectory.
