Charlotte Näslund Koch is a medical doctor, PhD, and senior researcher at the Department of Dermatology and Allergy at Copenhagen University Hospital - Herlev and Gentofte, where she is also completing her specialist training in dermatology and venereology.

She has experience in both epidemiological registry-based research and clinical studies and currently serves as project leader of the BIOSKIN research cohort, which follows patients with inflammatory skin diseases.

Her research focuses particularly on psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), including risk factors, lifestyle, and comorbidities, with a special interest in metabolic and cardiovascular complications. She is particularly interested in how research can contribute to earlier detection and prevention of comorbidities and to a more holistic approach to the care of people living with chronic skin diseases.

Alongside her clinical work and research, Charlotte is one of the initiators of the photo exhibition My Precious Skin, which uses portraits, patient stories, and poetry to highlight both the beauty and the vulnerability of living with a visible skin disease.
