Héléne Toinét Cronjé

Héléne Toinét Cronjé’s main interest is to better understand the molecular underpinnings of non-communicable diseases, and how intervention strategies can be better tailored to target the molecular and not just the phenotypic aspects of diseases. During her PhD, she performed epigenome-wide investigations in a population-based cohort in South Africa. Currently Héléne is leading two proteomics studies, under the mentorship of Prof. Majken Jensen, where she investigates plasma proteomics in relation to diabetes and dementia.
