Kevin A. Matlock

Kevin Matlock has been a PhD Research Fellow in Medical Psychology at the University of Southern Denmark since 2019. From 2011 to 2018, Kevin worked as an adjunct professor at Humboldt State University (HSU) in the United States, receiving two nominations for HSU’s “Excellence in Teaching” award. Kevin has also held teaching positions at College of the Redwoods in the United States, and at Gordon College in the Philippines.

Over the course of his career, Kevin has taught courses on a variety of topics in psychology, including abnormal psychology, evolutionary psychology, social psychology, learning theory, research design, and statistics. He has also worked in the field of applied statistics as a data analyst serving children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Kevin’s research interests include mood disorders, sleep dysfunction, socio-cognitive and behaviourist models of learning, and the psychological outcomes of chronic diseases. He is currently working in collaboration with Hypo-RESOLVE, a large-scale joint research project involving partners from the US and 9 European countries, to study the psychosocial burdens of hypoglycaemia in adults with type 2 diabetes.
