Salvatore Vaccarella

Salvatore Vaccarella’s research interests are centered on cancer epidemiology, with a strong focus on describing, understanding, and characterizing social and gender inequalities in cancer within the wider context of global cancer transitions, patterns, and trends of cancer. He also considers the social determinants of health and relevant mechanisms in the provision of equitable healthcare services. Currently, Salvatore Vaccarella serves as the coordinator of the Cancer Inequalities Team at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).
