JAK inhibitors for patients with alopecia areata
Even though JAK inhibitors originally got approved as antirheumatic drugs to treat rheumatoid arthritis, increasing interest among dermatologists to use JAK inhibitors in managing other inflammatory conditions is observed. Alopecia areata is an example of a condition where blockade of the JAK signaling pathway suppresses inflammatory responses and helps hair regrowth.
