Novel Risk Stratification Method for Bone Disease in Multiple Myeloma Patients Minimizes Radiation Exposure and Lowers Economic Burden
Researchers at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, have developed an AI-based algorithm to stratify the risk of bone disease in patients with multiple myeloma. Using transcriptomic and biochemical data, the lightweight and radiation-free system has been validated on Norwegian and Swedish cohorts. This new risk stratification method reduces healthcare costs and radiation exposure while improving patients’ quality of life.
