Malaria is associated with a risk of heart failure

A Danish nationwide cohort study is the first study evaluating the long-term risk of cardiovascular events and death in individuals with a history of malaria. In this MEDtalk, principal investigator Philip Brainin presents the key finding of the study: the history of malaria is significantly associated with increased risk of incident heart failure.
